Schools throughout Peace Wapiti Public School Division are getting ready to celebrate Family Literacy Day with activities, spirit days and books!
Family Literacy Day is an annual event, held on January 27, to raise awareness about the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family. This year’s theme is Let’s have a family party!
Throughout the week of January 22, schools are inviting families to join the party by reading to classes and participating in different games and activities. Some students will get the opportunity to discover new titles through book swaps and others will learn about their local library and how to use online systems to borrow books!
